Virgil Leon Crowder passed away, January 30, 2025. He was born on October 2, 1940, to the late Virgil and Roma Crowder.
Virgil was a meat market manager for many years. He loved to play basketball, softball, and he also loved to hunt and fish. Virgil loved all of his family so much. He was the oldest out of ten kids, and he was always their protector. He loved his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed watching them grow.
Virgil loved his Lord and Savior, and he showed his family that strong love through his unconditional love for them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky; four grandchildren, Shane, Noah, Blake, and Sterling; two sisters, Sissy and Tootsie; and one brother, Harold.
Virgil is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Wilma; two daughters, Susan and Carrie; two sons, Derrick and David; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; his siblings, Rudy, Louise, Dana (Don), Kathy (Danny), Sue, and Bobby; and his Texas sister in laws, Rhea, Judy, and Annette.
Virgil Celebration of life will be February 8th, at 11:00 am at Lifesong Baptist Church, 56 South Broadview St. Greenbrier, AR 72058. With Bro. Stanley Gilmore officiating.
