Virginia Lee Springer, 84 of Greenbrier went to be with her Lord on Monday May 26, 2014. She was born June 18, 1929 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Howard A. Laxton and Flora H. Robison Laxton. Ms. Springer was of the Baptist faith and a member of LifeSong Baptist Church in Greenbrier.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert E. Springer in 2009 and a brother Howard A. Laxton Jr.
Survivors include children Tony Springer and April of Greenbrier, Rex Rhodes and Laura of Russellville, Wayne Rhodes and Liza of Russellville, Bob Springer and Lucy of Denver, CO, and Steve Springer and Kelli of Searcy. Other survivors include numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral service will be 10am Thursday May 29, 2014 at LifeSong Baptist Church with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at 1pm in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roy Montgomery, Greg Montgomery, Ricky Matthews, Lonnie Jarman, David Ridling and Jeff Crites. James Wallace, Sonny Akers, and Larry Reynolds will serve as honorary pallbearers.
