Walter Rutledge

Walter Rutledge 63 of Greers Ferry died July 13, 2011. He
was born July 4, 1948 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to Clarence
Rutledge and Vira Jenkins Rutledge. Mr. Rutledge worked as a
service technician and was of the Pentecostal Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bud Rutledge
and Louis Rutledge and sister Mary Busby.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Amy Lorranine Rutledge of
Greers Ferry, son Kenneth Rutledge and Shari of Greers Ferry,
daughters Susan Odom of Greers Ferry, and Beth Ray of Cabot,
sisters Beatrice Steelman of Sunflower, Mississippi, Margie
Rutledge of Belzoni, Mississippi, Ada and Eddie Oneal of
Greenville, Mississippi, Dorothy and Art Johnson of  Gary,
Indiana, brothers Bill and Peggy Rutledge of Kosciukso,
Mississippi, Joe and Mary Rutledge of Philadelphia, Mississippi
Randy and Diane Rutledge  of Greenville, Mississippi and Pete
Rutledge of Belzoni, Mississippi. Other survivors include 7
grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday July 15 from 6 to 8pm at Higden United
Pentecostal Church. Services will be Saturday July 16 at 10am at
Higden United Pentecostal Church with Brother Tim Reynolds and
Brother Don England officiating. Burial will follow in
Higden-McLehaney Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Rutledge, David Ray Jr., Jonathan
Odom, Jeremy Odom, Tommy Shue, Jay England, Todd Rutledge, and
Rowdy Yates. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry England, Donnie
England, Bo England and Troy Sheets.
