Wilburn Maurice Langley, of Greenbrier, AR went to be with the Lord peacefully on September 26, 2025. Linda never left his side. Maurice was born on January 12, 1943, in Guy, AR to Farris W. and Evelyn Stewart Langley.
Maurice is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Gray Langley; daughter, Lynita (Philip) Langley – Ware of Greenbrier, AR; grandchildren, Sophia Ware, of Fayetteville, AR and Liam Ware of Greenbrier, AR; sister, Jane (Leon) Havens of Greenbrier, AR; special nieces, Kathy (Andrew) Gray Stewart of Owens, MD, Colleen (David) Gray Hopkins of Hattieville, AR, Beverly (Chris) Brannan of Greenbrier, AR, and Terry (Jason) Strain of Rosebud, AR; and two great nephews, Drake Brannan of Greenbrier, AR, and Devon Brannan of Greenbrier, AR; and numerous other family and friends.
Maurice owned Rolling “L” Trailers for forty-one years and built one thousand-three hundred- sixty-seven trailers during that time. His final trailer, started in the fall of 2024, remains unfinished. He sent trailers all over the United States and Canada. He worked on a dairy farm from early childhood. Maurice and Linda owned and operated Langley Grocery and DX Gas Station. He also worked for Conway Asphalt Company where his primary job was laying asphalt. Some of the streets in Clinton that he laid are still there today. Maurice was a skilled leather craftsman and an accomplished painter. He was an excellent storyteller, which his children and grandchildren loved. Maurice loved hunting and fishing and was of the Baptist Faith.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30th at Wilcox Family Funeral Home at 10:00 am, followed by a burial at Old Texas Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, September 29th at Wilcox Family Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
