William Lenard Phelps

William Lenard Phelps, 91 of Greenbrier, AR went to be with the Lord Tuesday April 28, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. Born June 19, 1923 to James Jackson and Mary Jane Phelps,
He was an Army Veteran where he served as a Rifleman during WWII serving in the Philippines. He worked for Pontiac Motors in Pontiac, Michigan and worked as a groundskeeper for Oak Hill Cemetery Owosso, Michigan. He was a member of the Pentecostals of Greenbrier.
Mr. Phelps is survived by his son Mike Phelps (Mary) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, step-son Donald Blasingame (Brenda) of Greenbrier, step-daughter Sue Davenport (Gilbert) of Flint, Michigan, and son-in-law Harold Roberts of Indiana. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by wife, Bessie G. Blasingame Phelps, step-daughter, Carol Roberts, brothers Ray V., Raymond and James, and sisters Gladys Blasingame and Clara Brown. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm, with the Funeral service following in the chapel of Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, May 16th at the United Pentecostal Church of Owosso, Michigan. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Owosso.
