William Lee Meers

William Lee Meers, 69, of Greenbrier, AR passed away on October 19, 2023, of natural causes. He was born on July 19, 1954, to William H. and Oleta Meers in Oklahoma City. He passed away after a long and well lived life. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Bedouin Shriner. He was married to the love of his life on April 8, 1977, and had been married for 46 years.
He was known to his friends and family as “Bill” and “Billy Lee”. His flair for storytelling, jokes and laughter will be greatly missed. He lit up a room with his larger-than-life personality and left an impression wherever he went. His greatest joy was being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
William was proceeded in death by his father, William H. Meers; his mother, Oleta Meers; and brother, Charles Meers and is survived by his wife, Sue Meers of Greenbrier, AR; three children, Preston Meers of Conway, AR; Teela Hurrelbrink and her husband, William Hurrelbrink of Greenbrier, AR; Courtney Hodges, of Greenbrier, AR and seven grandchildren: Caelyn, Ollie, London, Ryder, Aspen, Allee and Noah.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life for William. The memorial will be held at Wilcox Family Funeral Home on October 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. A second memorial service will be held in Oklahoma City, OK at a later date.
