William was a long time resident of Guy and Greenbrier. Always a
dedicated professional truck driver he drove OTR for Glenn Brothers
Trucking in Tulsa Oklahoma and then locally for Lindsey Petroleum
Transport in Conway followed by time at Greenbrier Ready Mix.
Bill left Arkansas for New Mexico in 1996 to spend time with his
Grandmother Letitia Bolton Bloodworth prior to her death. The
southwestern climate agreed with him and he relocated to Lake
Pleasant Harbor Marina in Peoria, Arizona. There he recently
retired after many years of service with Maricopa Ready Mix due to
failing eyesight as a complication from his struggle with diabetes.
A bout with pneumonia found him hospitalized in late fall of 2012,
where he was diagnosed with significantly advanced Stage 4 Lung
Cancer. Bill was assisted in returning home in January to Arkansas
by Maricopa Bucket List Foundation
(
http://bucketlistfoundation.org/
) and chose Hospice Home Care
(
http://www.hospicehomecare.com/
) as his preference over
aggressive medical intervention.
William always enjoyed sports and volunteered as an assistant coach
while his youngest sons were playing Pee-Wee football. As one
of his last activities he was able to enjoy the 2013 Super Bowl
football game with his Arkansas family and friends.
