Winnie Mae Thorn

Winnie Reynolds Thorn passed away March 2, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on December 13, 1935, in Greenbrier, AR to Amon E. and Lara Wilson Reynolds. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, AR. She loved to go to garage sales, and she loved having them, dressing up, shopping, reading the Bible, Praying, sewing, playing the piano, riding bikes, and making cookies with her grandchildren. She never wanted for much and was a very simple woman who loved spending time with her family. She and her late husband, Julious Thorn, did a lot of woodworking projects. Her and her husband were married 70 years before his passing. She loved her family very much, and she loved doing things with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one grandson, Zack Stephens; her sisters, Francis Morris, Darlis Merritt and Wilma Faye Langley, as well as one brother Jackie Reynolds.

She is survived by one son, Robbie (Janis Reedy); two daughters, Anna Mahan and Sherry Stephens; three sisters, Freda Roberts, Joyce Glover, and Judy Bourne. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will be pallbearers and honorary pallbearers as listed in order: Richie Vaughan, Paden Thorn, Samantha (Kyle) Garretson, Andrea (Tim) Bassett, Rachel Puckett, Misty (Luke) Havens, Hunter (Morgan) Havens, Trey Havens, Deanna Vaughan, Isaiah Puckett, Holley Puckett, Bailey Bassett, Brooklyn Bassett, Addy Thorn, Hobson Thorn, Charleigh Meeks, CJ Neely, and Bella Petty. She also had two great-great grandsons, that made a five-generation family, Hudson and Cayden Havens. She was loved by all of them.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Brother Gaylon King officiating. Burial will follow at Thorn Cemetery.
